2007. Currently doing MBA from IIM Bangalore
“I would rate my 4 years at ATN amongst my
most memorable ones. I made a lot of invaluable
friends whom I would cherish and remember life
long. Being my first job, the general anxiety of
entering something new was there. I remember my
first day; I wore formals (including a tie) and
was greeted with the words “Jatin, tumhara
saathi aa gaya”. He was the only one who wore
(and sometimes still wears) a tie to office.
After looking around, the first thing I did was
removed it. I remember the times when we had to
share a lot of equipments (including desks and
PCs) due to immense shortage all the time. Every
time after a vacation, you had to search for a
new space to park yourself. There was another
privileged lot who had the luxury of a separate
room but all of the privileged had to stick to
one room ;-). The best thing about the place was
the informal culture. I could, as a fresher,
walk up to Kiran, Pravin, Samir, and discuss
issues and ideas with them. I also remember, the
day to day issues were addressed and resolved as
a collective effort. This was the first time I
met such an experienced set of people together
to do something that was very unique to India
and the world. It took me time to grasp the
whole picture and I was amazed by the entire
idea that Wibhu had to put together. As a first
step towards our global goals we rechristened
ourselves to “AirTight”, though I prefer Wibhu.
There are so many successful organizations that
have non-English names. It’s the work and not
the name of a company that matters.” |
