Participants are requested to choose their desired topic from the following:
RFID
RFID is one of the commanding technologies acknowledged across the manufacturing industries. Discover the new trends and innovative ways to implement RFID technology. Research need to be done in Indian market to identify the vendors, required infrastructure (hardware, software, middleware and their support), various cost estimates. Explore the real time case studies of RFID implementation
Artificial Intelligence in Agricultural domain
How can AI be used in decision making process for Farmer (to improve the yield)?
Research needs to be done for applying AI to agriculture where both deep and surface knowledge is highly imprecise and also covering Temporal reasoning and spatial reasoning. This would help modeling the natural process and the effect of any kind of uncertainty.
Path Planning Algorithm
In countries like USA, Canada, Russia etc where farm length and breadth is in too large and can be counted in miles. Research needs to be done on algorithms where input is given in Lat/long for a farm and output is a one continuous path covering whole field in minimum time.
Data Mining with New Technologies
Identify new trends and technologies used in data mining. Explore the innovative ideas to automate the predictive information extraction from large database. Investigate solution to search and classify textual data with upcoming data mining techniques and algorithms such as Artificial neural networks, Semantic Web, Rule Induction algorithms and many more techniques.
Machine Prognosis
Analyse stream of data regarding normal machine operations and predict abnormalities that may appear in future by applying different models / methods.
Model problem. Eg. Meteorological data.

Based on the Final Papers submitted, participants will be shortlisted for the next round in the contest.
- All shortlisted participants will be showcased on Techno-Champ's website.
- Final paper must be submitted in .pdf format only.
- Decision of judges will be considered as final in each stage of the competition.
- All Submissions will be judged on their technical merit and their relevance to the chosen topic.
Evaluation Criteria
All submissions will be judged by a thorough review process by the Technical Judges Panel from John Deere. The Abstracts & technical presentations will win purely on the basis of technical merit and relevance to the topics being chosen by the participants. Mentioned below is the weight age (key for the participants to score more!!) for each parameter.
